Friends of the Kingsville Public Library Lawn Sale: Vendors, Volunteers and Donations Needed

Vendor spaces are now available for the 45th annual Library Lawn Sale hosted by the Friends of the Kingsville Public Library. The sale will be Saturday, May 18th in Kingsville Township Park from 9am-4pm. Library Lawn Sale is the Friends groups’ largest fundraiser event attracting between 2,000-3,000 visitors, rain or shine. Vendor spaces measure 10’x10’ and are now available for a $25 donation and after May 4th the donation will increase to $35. Electrical spaces are available for a $50 donation and after May 4th will be a $60 donation. Vendors may reserve multiple spaces. Applications are available at the library or on the library’s website. Applications will not be accepted after May 10th.

The Friends of the Library are looking for volunteers to help organize, plan, provide entertainment, and help the day of the event. Volunteers are essential to make this event possible for the community. Those interested in helping can call the library to sign up for a specific task and are invited to attend the Friends’ meeting on Tuesday, May 7th at 1pm at the library’s Simak Welcome Center. Volunteer hours are available for students who would like to earn service hours for school.

Donations of gently used books, DVD’s, CDs and puzzles for the sale are now being accepted. Items not accepted for the sale are: VHS Tapes, Encyclopedias, textbooks or any mildew damaged items. Donations may be dropped off during library open hours Monday through Thursday 9am to 7pm, Friday 9am-6pm and Saturday 9am-4pm. Businesses who wish to donate an item for the Lawn Sale raffle may call the library at (440) 224-0239 and schedule a time for pick up.

The Kingsville Public Library is grateful for the Friends group for their generous financial support. In 2018 the Friends of the Kingsville Public Library made an $8,000 donation to the library for youth programs, children’s book purchases, and matching funds to replace aging furniture and for the Guiding Ohio Online Grant that provides a full-time technology trainer at the library.  Save the date to attend Library Lawn Sale, held each year on the third Saturday in May. For more information call the library at (440) 224-0239.
