MEET MISS DANI
Hi, my name is Dani, and I am the Youth Services and Outreach Coordinator at the Kingsville Public Library. I love helping children and youth find books that will spark their love for reading! As a child, I spent many hours a week at my local library devouring books like a hungry bookworm! I hope to meet all of the young bookworms in our community at the library.
I spend my free time teaching my three sons (ages 15, 13, and 10) how to sew, paint, craft, and create. I am committed to providing quality programming for youth of all ages and look forward to getting to know our youth through storytime, arts programming, STEM and STEAM programming, and visits to the library. Please stop by to see me and tell me about your favorite books and authors!
I have a background in theatre and enjoy storytelling and creative play. I hold a BFA in Acting, a BFA in Technical Theatre and Design, an MA in Theatre History and Criticism, and am currently a PhD Candidate in Cultural Foundations of Education. My dissertation explores how theatre works to educate publics for participation in American democracy. I love talking about educational philosophy, so if you want to stop and chat, I can usually be found in the Children’s Room. J
