Meet John

Hello, I'm John, the Digital Literacy Trainer! Thanks to a grant from the federal Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), awarded by the State Library of Ohio, and on behalf of Kingsville Public Library, I'm proud to be working close to home while helping locals in need. I am a problem solver. I have been working within the expanding field of STEAM for the past decade either as a college student or a licensed professional.

My formal college training was in mathematics, but through plenty of other opportunities, I was able to learn more about robotics, 3D design and printing, programming, data analysis, and many other fields. I received educator training as a high school mathematics teacher and coach for 5 years. As I continue to pursue this journey of discovery and solving problems, I hope to connect the patron's prior knowledge with current technological skills and offer a way to promote healthy technology use to improve quality of life.
