Advanced Word Class                                                                                                                                                                                                              Tuesday, August 13th: 5:30-7pm 

“Advanced Microsoft Word”, the third in a three-class training course on Microsoft Word. Participants will gain essential knowledge on how to navigate and perform more advanced tasks within the application to create documents.  This will build upon the skills developed in the first and second courses.  Participants did not have to attend the previous courses in order to attend this third course, however a fluent understanding of how to navigate in Microsoft Word is required. Attendees will be given instruction on formatting text and paragraphs, inserting graphic objects like pictures, clip art, and symbols, and using built in tools to help correct spelling, grammar, and readability. Participants will also be given several challenges to complete inside Word. Each of which is designed to help develop key skills within the program. Space is limited call the library to signup. 

Teen Gaming Day                                                                                                                                                                                                            Friday, August 16th: 1-5pm   

 "Teen Tech Gaming Day", for kids 5th grade and older.  Teens can bring their own devices or use one of the provided devices to play a variety of video games including Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, and Fortnite.  Teens are encouraged to bring headphones.  The library will also provide snacks and board games for those who want a little low-tech fun! This event provides teens a safe place to have fun and meet new friends while engaging in some friendly competition with games. Space is limited call the library to signup. 

Advanced Excel Class                                                                                                                                                                                                         Tuesday, August 20th: 5:30-7pm 

“Advanced Microsoft Excel”, the third in a three-class training course. Participants will gain advanced knowledge on how to navigate and perform common tasks within the application to create spreadsheets.  This third course will build upon the skills developed in “Introduction to Microsoft Excel” and “Intermediate Excel”  However, attendance at the first two classes is not mandatory to participate in this course. Instruction will be given on formatting cells, inserting Graphs and Charts, and using built in tools like formulas which can automatically add cells together and give a total. Participants will also be given several challenges to complete inside Excel. Each of which is designed to help develop key skills within the program. Space is limited call the library to signup. 

Biohacking Technology                                                                                                                                                                                                      Friday, August 30th: 5:30-7pm 

“Biohacking: Hacking Your Health”, learn easy ways to track your health to live a healthier more productive life either by using apps, or by using computer programs like Microsoft Excel. Biohacking has become popular in recent years in the form of intermittent fasting, and ketogenic diets.  However, getting started can be difficult especially with hard to maintain ketogenic diets. This class will cover some common health tracking tools and tips. This class will cover common ways to track your health, the library will provide some laptops, but attendees may bring their own device.  This class will cover both Android, and iPhone apps, as well as Microsoft Excel.  Participants who bring their own devices are urged to charge the device ahead of time.  Space is limited so pre-registration is required.  Call (440) 224-0239 or stop into the Kingsville Public Library to pre-register.
