The Library stands with its community partners during the coronavirus pandemic. Even though the Kingsville Public Library is temporarily closed, the Library is always committed to providing information. These are among the best resources to review at this time:

In addition to calling us at 2-1-1 and visiting our online resource portal at    www.211ashtabula.org, those looking for community resource information (utilities, food, housing, etc.) are now invited to also text “COVID19” to 211-211, you will receive a list of helpful links for general COVID-19 resources. You will also be asked for your zip code. By providing your zip code, you will then be invited to start a text conversation with a local 2-1-1 Ashtabula County information specialist Monday through Friday between the hours of 8AM-4PM. Data and messaging rates apply.

Department of Job and Family Services: Employment-related questions are front and center for many at this time. More information from this state resource can be found online or by calling 877-644-6562.

Legal Aid Society of Cleveland: Those needing civil legal assistance can apply online 24/7 at www.lasclev.org or weekdays by calling 888-817-3777. Those with non-legal questions related to landlord-tenant or other rental issues can call our Tenant Information Line at 216-861-5955 (Cuyahoga) or 440-210-4533 (Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake, Lorain Counties). Legal Aid has teamed-up with WEWS Channel 5 for a legal information phone bank on 4/24. Legal Aid staff and volunteers will be available during the newscasts on Friday, April 24 between 4pm and 6:30pm. 

SBA Disaster Assistance in Response to the Coronavirus – The Ohio Declaration is Now Approved

 

SBA’s Economic Injury Disaster Loans offer up to $2 million in assistance and can provide vital economic support to small businesses to help overcome the temporary loss of revenue they are experiencing.

 

• These loans may be used to pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable and other bills that can’t be paid because of the disaster’s impact. The interest rate is 3.75% for small businesses without credit available elsewhere; businesses with credit available elsewhere are not eligible. The interest rate for non-profits is 2.75%.

 

• SBA offers loans with long-term repayments in order to keep payments affordable, up to a maximum of 30 years. Terms are determined on a case-by-case basis, based upon each borrower’s ability to repay.

 

• SBA’s Economic Injury Disaster Loans are just one piece of the expanded focus of the federal government’s coordinated response, and the SBA is strongly committed to providing the most effective and customer-focused response possible.
