Librarian, Sarah Phillips at the Desk  - circa. 1942

Miss Sarah Phillips was Kingsville Library Librarian from 1937-1944.  Her sister, Miss Alice Phillips was Librarian from 1944-1958.  Throughout this time, a third sister, Miss Altie Phillips assisted and was known as the historian for the library.

This picture shows the door and windows on the north side of the original library building. The school that occupied the north end of the lot was destroyed by fire in 1927.
