Meet Miss Amber

Hi, my name is Miss Amber and I am the Youth Services and Outreach Coordinator at the Kingsville Public Library. Most of the time you can find me in the Children's Room all the way in the back of the library.

I grew up right here in Kingsville and have been coming to the Kingsville Public Library since I was a little girl! I have wonderful memories of my mom bringing my sister and I to Teddy Bear and Story Time. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would work with the community I grew up in, whether it be one of the many events at the library, or in the schools. As a graduate from Edgewood High School it brings me an abundance of joy to work with the students and staff of the Buckeye Local School District.

Some of my favorite things to do when I am not at the library are crafting, spending time with family and friends, and being outdoors! If you have any questions or if there is anything you need help with don't be afraid to ask. You can email me at youthservices@kingsvillelibrary.org

Please join me for Online Story Time until the Library re-opens. Videos with be posted Monday-Thursday on Facebook and on the Library's YouTube Channel. Happy Reading!

Story Time

Story Time programs at the Library provide fun, books, songs and finger plays in an interactive and engaging story time where you and your infant participate with other parents/caregivers and infants. Reading aloud to children encourages social, emotional, and cognitive development. For infants, this is enhanced when you hold your child in your lap or next to you. Did you know the ability to learn language skills is greatest before the age of six? Children who are read to at an early age are more successful in school and have larger vocabularies when they enter school. Join us for engaging story times while encouraging your child’s social, emotional and cognitive development.

Mini Minds and Motion

Mini Minds in Motion is a new program that incorporates literacy, creative play, music, and movement to support and engage little folks.  This class is geared towards children between the ages of 3-6 years old.
